10" x 14" I'm hoping that this one retains its distinct shapes. It seems rather regal and powerful. Again, not even an inkling of a title at this time.
A bit of gold glitter is suggesting that this be incorporated but, so far, I've resisted the actual implementation!
Also, I want to start adding 3-dimensional items (like acorns or olive pits), painted over, so that there is a bit of depth. But that won't happen on this particular piece. I like its flat visual power and don't want to interrupt that flow.

interesting. i agree that this piece has a 'regal' feel to it, like a family crest ...
ReplyDeletethank you for sharing your artwork and also for stopping by my website to leave your kind and supportive comment for my art student, triston.
Yes, Regal & i see a beak .. plumage as well a fish tail..like addressing flight under-worldly depths with a foot ready for landing & then an amoeba afloat with that signature as if an approach to ancient language that follows a word ..gee Mann you really get the symbolism going. It's great. I think you should be exhibiting many of these pieces..Or maybe the act of doing this creates the wonder.. Um, i also wonder of your collection of shark teeth bearing any inner dialogue. It seems like you have access to past centuries of some sort. Cool.
